In the early 1950s, when the time arrived to replace the aging subsonic J-29 Tunnan with a more advanced supersonic fighter, Saab took on the challenge.

Recently, Hasegawa has introduced an entirely new tooling, focusing on the Saab J-35 Draken at a scale of 1/48. This model is designed to be straightforward to assemble, yet its impressive size and high-quality engineering make it stand out. Among the features included in this kit is an optional Ram Air Turbine (RAT), which can be positioned either stowed in a compartment behind the nose gear well or deployed for operational demonstration.
